Hey guys, welcome to my Loom hack/tip. The new Transcript Feature Release!
So if you do not know about Loom, it is a, screen record web platform that I absolutely love. Record and share video messages of your screen, cam, or both. Faster than typing an email or meeting live.

You can use it on your mobile or your desktop. That makes it super convenient. I get to talk to you and walk you through whatever it is that I need, I’m needing to share with you. So that’s, in a nutshell, it has a free version and a paid version. I love to use the paid version because it releases a lot more features.
New Release-Transcript
This is a new release that I’m going to talk about today, and I’m actually unclear if it’s also part of the free version I would imagine it would be.
This area that I’m in right here is, once you’ve recorded your video, it comes here. So if I hit this button here on transcript beta on the right side of my screen, it’s gonna open up this right here to your right.

I love it. I love it. I love it.
Timestamp
It has like a timestamp with, your words. And so your viewer can kind of like hop over to that part of the video.

Search Feature
So what I also love is, there’s this search feature right here. A great and quick way to find what you need without having to watch the whole video. Because let’s face it, not enough time in the day.
Copy That Transcript
The second thing that I love this button here that says copy transcript. So if you are a repurposer, which you should be, as a marketer, don’t work harder, work smarter!

Copy that transcripts!
- Use it to create your base for your blog post when it’s time to embed the video you also just made for your website.
- Grab snippets that make quick tip cards for your social media posts
- Use some great one liners as tweets.
Your user’s not going to see all of this, but this little transcript button for someone that’s using it or viewing your video will see it in this upper right corner.

So when they click it, the same kind of a transcript box will be here for them navigate as shown above.
The Loom people had mentioned is that if your screen is smaller, this transcript box will probably appear below the video versus to the right.
Catch you next time!
